The Gateway Motorway

The current plans for the Gateway upgrade include a 3 Lane full and 4 Lane skinny option whereby if the 3 lanes do not work they will make the lanes narrower and reduce the speed permanently to 80 kmh. It is without doubt that this is grossly inadequate, I have expressed my concerns to the Minister on this matter however they fell on deaf ears.

Large numbers of people from Longman use this road and suffer every day when they travel to work.

Many find alternate routes or simply stay at work to avoid the chaos.

It is time we built for the future and not the past. I will use whatever means available to me to ensure this project is upgraded to a full 4 lanes before we all have to deal with the construction all over again. Furthermore I will ensure that there will be enough land secured so future generations will be able to expand on this if required.

 

 

The Bruce Highway

From the day they opened the 3 Lane upgrade the Bruce has been a failure. I will campaign to get this road upgraded to 4 lanes as soon as possible all the way to Caboolture.
